WELCOME & WORSHIP
Dear Friends of Orange Park
Grace and peace to you in the
name of Christ Jesus!
It is a joy for us to offer this Advent greeting! As we continue the ministry that has been entrusted to us, we enter this season of anticipation and expectation. We await the gift of God’s amazing love made full in the person of Jesus Christ.
In the Community of Faith, the Body of Christ, we are able to realize this gift. And our ministry is found in sharing the gift that we have received. This season, may the gift of Christ become even more evident to us, and may our faith be strengthened as we journey together, drawn into the fullness of the Kingdom!
On the reverse side of this letter you will find the schedule for worship and for giving during this special season. Our right response to the gift of God’s love in Jesus Christ includes our joyful participation with the worshiping community. May God bless our faithful fellowship, and enrich us with the hope of the coming of our Lord.
The peace of Christ be with you.
December 1, 8, 15, 22 Advent Sundays
Observe the season of preparation and expectation through seasonal hymns and carols, timely scripture lessons, and liturgies and prayers designed to assist our hearts while we await the coming of our Lord. Please note that our worship service on Sunday, December 15 will be a special “Lessons and Carols” service.
CHRISTMAS EVE CANDLELIGHT &
Christmas is often a time of travel as families gather for the holiday. We are reminded of others who traveled, seeking lodging. This Christmas Eve we will explore the theme of pilgrimage and hospitality. Our celebration will include sharing Communion, and Candle Lights. Bring your travelers with you to our celebration.
